Local Posts 'Local Posts' usually issue 'Carriage Stamps' or Freight Labels indicating prepayment of service for forwarding mail or goods to regular Postal Authorities or via private transportation. Included here are territories, classes or entities not listed by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) whose stamps are intended to move mail. Further included is any political entity (EnenKio Atoll, Greenpeace, Okusi-Ambeno ...) that issues stamps - even for just economic reasons. - This intrudes into the region of 'Cinderella' stamps.

Christmas Post Stamps in the UK "Christmas posts have been operated by scout and other groups since legislative sanction was passed in 1981 (in the UK). Most groups have issued stamps of some kind, often self-adhesive, others have simply applied a handstamp (cachet). The Cinderella Regions of The Commonwealth of Independent States "There are 68 territories within the 15 F.S.U. (12 C.I.S.) Republics/Nations/Regions which issue or have issued 'unoffical' stamps ..."

Brecqhou Brecqhou, a small island near Sark, in the Bailiwick of Guernsey, had one issue in 1969 then regular issues startind in December 1999. "In that month, Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay, owners of the island, commissioned a Christmas label to be used on mail going by boat via St. Peter Port, Guernsey and on mail sent by helicopter to Exeter or London."
